Wells Fargo Optimize Business Checking
- $400$400 with a $2,500-$9,999 balance on day 30, maintained through day 60.
- $550$550 with a $10,000-$24,999 balance on day 30, maintained through day 60.
- $825$825 with a balance of $25,000 or more on day 30, maintained through day 60.
Our take
- The $400 tier is the clear sweet spot: it requires much less cash than the $550 and $825 tiers while still delivering a substantial bonus.
- Get the full qualifying balance in by day 30 and keep it there through day 60 -- late deposits cannot move you into a higher tier, and dropping below the threshold can reduce or eliminate the bonus.
- The five transactions are easier than they first appear because eligible deposits and Wells Fargo Bill Pay count; avoid relying on Zelle, internal Wells Fargo transfers, RTP, or FedNow.
- Initiate is the clearest option for online applicants, and its $10 monthly fee is easy to avoid with a $500 minimum daily balance (or a $1,000 average ledger balance); verify the fees and application process before choosing Navigate or Optimize.
- Check the eligibility language carefully if you have pursued a Wells Fargo business bonus before -- the 24-month limit applies to both the business entity and the business owner.

Requirements
Complete at least 5 qualifying posted transactions within 60 days. Any mix of eligible Wells Fargo business debit-card purchases, Wells Fargo Bill Pay payments, or deposits made through the mobile app, an ATM, a branch teller, ACH, or wire can count. Zelle, withdrawals, transfers involving other Wells Fargo accounts, RTP or FedNow transfers, and debit-card original credits do not count.
Have at least $2,500 in the account by day 30. The balance on day 30 sets the highest bonus tier available, and deposits made after day 30 cannot move the account into a higher tier.
Keep at least $2,500 in the account from the time this tier is reached through day 60. Falling below $2,500 during the qualification period eliminates the bonus.
Have at least $10,000 in the account by day 30. The balance on day 30 sets the highest bonus tier available, and deposits made after day 30 cannot move the account into a higher tier.
Keep at least $10,000 in the account from the time this tier is reached through day 60. A lower balance during the qualification period reduces the bonus to the tier actually maintained, or eliminates it below $2,500.
